Want to Hear the Album?
Thursday, June 8, 2006
We've been hard at work on the debut album. Backing tracks for the entire album are complete, with only vocals and mixing remaining.
What's that you say? "But HOUSE, I can not possibly wait another week to hear your sweet rock and roll!" Not to worry, loyal fans.
A rough preview mix of Mr. Bad Times from the upcoming album will be on Jim "Hardluck" Johnson's
Weekend Blues show this weekend. The show is
on KGOU 105.7/106.3FM from 1-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, or you can listen live on the Internet at kgou.org. We will post with more details as soon as we know them!
What's that you say? "But HOUSE, only one song? I want to hear them all!" Well, as you're listening to the Weekend Blues show for our
tasty jams, you can make a nice Saturday afternoon drive down to Shawnee, Oklahoma, where HOUSE is headlining the final day of the
Shawnee Art, Wine, and Jazz Festival on Saturday, June 10. We'll be taking over the town from 9-11pm, and we'll most likely hit every tune on the album. Show up early and check out Pinkie and the Snakeshakers and Smilin' Vic and the Soul Monkeys. We might rename ourselves to House and the House for this show so the other bands won't think we're putting on airs.
Plenty of other new shows have been added at the usual haunts, as well as another festival in Wewoka, OK on June 24. Check out the Shows page for details!

When it rains, it pours! We just added a couple of short-notice shows to the calendar. We'll be at the Deli
in Norman on Wednesday and the Belle Isle Brewery in OKC on Friday night. Come on up and get down! The new
tunes have been getting plenty of comments at the recent shows, and we'll probably unleash another new one'
this weekend. Don't miss it!
Rehearsal Called on Account of Tornado...or not
Tuesday, April 25, 2006
In the immortal words of the great Eminem, House has been "back to the lab again yo,"
plowing through the process of preparing the first album. We're still planning on hitting
the studio sometime in May, so look for the first album to be available sometime around August.
The Cedar Street Blues and Jazz Festival down in Wewoka, OK has been added to the shows page. We're in the 6pm slot. We had a great time here last year and are looking forward to givin' it to them again.
Woody Award!
Monday, March 20, 2006
This morning's Gazette has informed us in advance of tonight's award ceremony at the Bricktown Brewery that
HOUSE has taken the Best Blues Band category! Pick up a copy and check out the story.
For those of you surfing in after reading the Gazette article, welcome. The article just scratches the
surface - you need to come to a show and check it out for yourself. We're at the Belle Isle Brewery
on Friday and we'd like to cordially invite you to come get down with us.
Check out our shows page or sign up for the mailing list for more upcoming shows!
A Special Gift from HOUSE to You

This, as they say, is the jam.
The rumors aren't true, Herbie Hancock didn't play on it, but it is true that the
Pointer Sisters did the vocal.
